Sally Hansen in Booty Camp

Brand: Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips

Shade: Booty Camp
(pink & white camouflage pattern, matte finish)

Cost: $$

The Scoop:
These polish strips are fun and pretty easy to apply.  I don't know if I can deal with this particular pattern on every finger, but maybe an accent nail or two would be cute.

Next Shade: Julep in Emerson

Sephora in Cherries & Cherry Popsicle

Shades: Cherries & Cherry Popsicle
(white color with red cherries and glossy finish & bright red color with glossy finish)

Cost: $$$ & $

The Scoop:
My Easter nails were inspired by cherry Jelly Bellies, my favorite jellybean. This would be cute for a summer picnic too!

Sally Hansen in Brattlesnake

Shade: Brattlesnake
(gold and gray colored snakeskin, glossy finish)

Cost: $$

The Scoop:
I thought this pattern looked cool in the store, but when I put it on, I hated it. Maybe it would be better on just an accent nail, because a whole hand of snakeskin is way too much.

Avon in Dozen Roses

Shade: Dozen Roses
(silver color with black pattern, metallic finish)

Cost: $

The Scoop:
I thought these looked cool when I ordered them online, but in person they were seriously ugly. Good thing they were easy to put on because I removed them. Quickly.

Revlon in Iconic & Evening Garnet

Shades: Iconic & Evening Garnet
(charcoal gray color with glossy finish, stones in shades of pink and black with textured finish)

Cost: $$ & $$$

The Scoop:
Back in the day (like 20 years ago), I only wore Revlon nail polish.  Now, I skip that section when I'm in CVS.  That is, until these nail polish strips by Marchesa caught my eye.  This is a really clever collaboration, and the nail polish strips stayed on and looked good for about 5 days. Welcome back!

Sally Hansen in Wine Not

Shade: Wine Not
(garnet red color, super glossy finish)

Cost: $$$$

The Scoop:
Gel manicures are everywhere lately, so I turned to Sally to help me do it at home.  I chose the starter kit with the 1-finger LED light.  Put in a movie before you start applying these -- it takes at least an hour. But that's ok if they really last 2 weeks, right?  Yeah...  At first they looked great, but they started chipping after 2 days, which lead to me peeling all 10 of them off while on a conference call.  (Not a recommended technique!)

Next Week's Shade: Maybelline in Midnight Swim
