Maybelline in Dust of Bronze & Mosaic Prison

Brand: Maybelline Color Show Nail Lacquer

Shades: Dust of Bronze & Mosaic Prison
(bronze brown color with sheer metallic and glitter finish)

Cost: $

The Scoop:
This is a pretty combo, and this brand is super cheap so splurge and get them both. Then your hands will look extra special when you ask the person sitting next to you at Thanksgiving to pass the cranberry sauce. And yes, I mean the kind from the can. We're being frugal, right?!

Julep in Leo

Brand: Julep

Shade: Leo
(bronze brown color, metallic finish)

Cost: $$$

The Scoop:
I'm a Leo, so of course I had to get this shade from the zodiac collection.  They call this a golden honey color for Leo's "confident and majestic" personality. Hmmm. I call this shiny baby poop. I removed it about a minute after I put it on. It's a horrible color, and I cannot throw enough shade at it.

Avon in Deluxe Chocolate

Brand: Avon Nailwear Pro+ Nail Enamel

Shade: Deluxe Chocolate
(deep brown color, metallic finish)

Cost: $

The Scoop:
I never understand how Avon can sell their makeup so inexpensively. Here's another example where their quality is just as good as polishes 3x the price. Definitely some chocolate you won't feel guilty about.

This shade that looks different from every angle. A cool effect with a badass name.

OPI in Suzi Loves Cowboys

Shade: Suzi Loves Cowboys
(chocolate brown color, glossy finish)

Cost: $$

The Scoop:
This one is great for Thanksgiving because it looks like a turkey.  And it also looks great when you're passing the turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and gravy to the person sitting next to you.  Tomorrow, may your table be full of food, family, friends, and fabulous looking nails.

Marc Jacobs in Petra

Shade: Petra
(bronzey brown color, shimmer finish)

Cost: $$$$

The Scoop:
Apparently this new line of polish (available at Sephora) was inspired by MJ's high-shine lacquer coffee table.  I still used a topcoat here, but the color was rich and long lasting.  Honestly, though, he had me at the bottle.  I'm smitten!

Next Week's Shade: MAC in Anti-Fashion

Tom Ford in Bitter Bitch

Shade: Bitter Bitch
(mahogany brown color, glossy finish)

Cost: $$$$

The Scoop:
The entire reason I bought this color was for the awesome name.  It's just a bonus that I liked the shade.  For the price, it's disappointing that it goes on streaky.  Plan on 2-3 coats.  But it does have a nice shine right from the bottle and other people seemed to like it too.

Next Week's Shade:  Covergirl in Midnight Magic

Bobbi Brown in Twilight

Shade: Twilight
(chocolate brown plum color, shimmer finish)

Cost: $$$$

The Scoop:
I don't think Bobbi whips up that many nail polishes so I wanted to try this one.  I love the rich brown color with its purple undertones, but this one was pretty pricey.  I'm pretty sure I own a similar shade from O.P.I. for about half the price.  Also, it chipped after 2 days.  Bummer.

Next Week's Shade: Butter London in Macbeth
